Co-founded by improvisers Tiegh Fitzgerald and Jazmine Scott, Eastbound Comedy Theatre was established in the fall of 2017. The organization is excited to work with communities across
Scarborough and the wider East GTA to create comedy and laughter.
To engage audiences, students and performers with professional improv performances and training
in a sustainable way and that grows an improv community in Scarborough and the East GTA.
To spread awareness and deepen the understanding of improvised theatre through participatory play that elevates individuals, communities and the artform.
Eastbound Comedy Theatre would like to acknowledge that the buildings it performs and teaches in are situated upon traditional territories. The territories include the Wendat, Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nations, and the Métis Nation.
Eastbound Comedy Theatre strives to be a welcoming and inclusive community
that invites all people to play and share their unique experiences & perspectives.
